went for my 1st vocal lesson w this gal called joleen... she's e same age as me u know?!...yet she knows so many things abt vocals...she can do scatting, e different types of harmony, make a song her own...she has her own band tt writes christian-valued music...she only needed to listen to me sing e chorus of "i could sing of Your Love forever" n she could tell tt i nv use my diaphragm very much, my breathe control wasn't dere n i don really know where my head voice is... oh man...tt really makes me wonder...
have i wasted 20 yrs of my life?!!...(hee...don worry...i'm not emo-ing...juz really got a wake-up call kind of feeling)...
if u ask me, wat's e thing u can do e best?...i'll probably say singing...even den, my basics for singing r not dere!...shai muz really work hard n b more aware of wat she's doing w her life...every min every sec muz count for God...:)
juz finish reading e bk "Good Morning, Holy Spirit" by Benny Hinn...here's 1 thing tt strucked me...
Q: How can i truly please God? A: Don't try! Q: I don't understand. A: Young man, it's not your ability. It's His ability in you. so Benny Hinn concluded... how can i please God? by YIELDING! the Holy Spirit will do the work. It's not my strength; it's His. Otherwise i would boast of my own accomplishments... so my part...is to juz lay everything b4 God...n follow as e Spirit leads... so easy yet so hard...but shai wants to do it! not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God...:)
