Tuesday, August 12, 2008 some random thoughts

In order for strangers to be able to exist in the same space in harmony, there needs to be a basic trust among them....

e.g. students trusting that their new lecturer will prepare his notes n lecture well b4hand n will b qualified enough to impart knowledge relevant to the module...passengers on a train sitting next to each other, trusting tt their "neighbour" will not do anything tt will harm them or intrude their privacy...walking in a crowded shopping centre with the trust tt the stranger next to u will not stretch his hands into ur bag n take away valuables...etc etc...

We all start with a basic trust for each other...after which, any increase in the level of trust will have to b earned...

The strange thing is...God, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, trusts us even wo us earning it...so many times, we fail Him by making the same mistakes over n over again...yet, He still trusts that we will b able to overcome this bad habit one day!...

how can we tell?...

God uses imperfect pple who may fail Him anytime...He entrusts us w His precious things like His church and even taking care of His flock...sometimes, we shirk responsibilities...sometimes, we might even run away n expect others to clear up e mess for us...yet, as long as we go back to God n really want to change, God still trusts us n still continues to use us in ways we will never imagine...

so, r we gg to abuse this unconditional trust from God, or r we gg to ride on this trust to shine for Him?...i guess, u know which will put a smile on His face...:)
