At the Jordon River, had Joshua lose the faith in God that He will fulfill His promise of giving the Israelites the promise land, the river would not have "parted" and the Israelites would have been stucked at something less den God's ideal for them. It was only when the 4 priests who were carrying the Ark of the Covenant step into the water that the river "parted".

In the book "Called to be God's leader", the author wrote this, "the reason more people do not see Jordon Rivers parting in their lives and ministries is because they waver at the riverbank." Sometimes, we see unparted waters b4 us and see it as a closed door and hence, a sign that what we are doing is not in God's plan. What if, that's God's way of stretching us? He wants us to 1st step into the water b4 He performs the miracles.

So, next time, when u r facing a Jordon River, pray and ask God if it's really a closed door and so you shouldn't continue; or we should hang on to it and juz trust and depend on Him. :)

hee...went to watch the curious case of benjamin buttons w florence, star n regina...hee...it's such a nice show!...1 line i rmb from it is "you will come to lose people whom you love. otherwise, how would u know that u'll miss them?" (paraphrased) i guess then the question shouldn't b will i lose some1 i love...but how am i to treasure more of the people around me?...
